Short Interview
- Write a 10-word sentence that embodies how you understand sensory overload
A sensory discharge that disrupts borders between dimensions of experience.
- What scent/s would your poem be?
My story is partly about how we humans would smell to a sentient alien fungal colony. So I guess it smells like people – or alien mushrooms, depending on the point of view.
- What did you intend your audience to feel when reading your piece?
I wanted to make the reader feel how difficult it would be to establish contact with intelligent beings that possess a sensory apparatus completely different from ours.
- Describe your favorite type of light.
I live in Berlin so definitely sunlight! Also it’s the primary energy source for life on our planet.
