Sounds, sights, and smells build, making you question your reality.

2.     What scent/s would your translation of Isis Aquino’s story be?

The cool, fresh smell of an impending snowstorm + coppery tang of rust & blood + a faint hint of dirt. 

3.     What did you intend your audience to feel when reading your translation of Isis Aquino’s piece?

I wanted to translate this piece because I enjoyed how well Isis captured moments of intimacy, familiarity, and dread in such a short space. I wanted readers to feel just as unsettled as I was when I read this story for the first time. 

4.     Describe your favorite type of light.
